Create A Rainbow In A Jar With The Kids
Bring some science into the kitchen! For this one you will want to have a space where a mess can happen - just in case!
Teach the little ones about liquid density with a fun project that will create a rainbow in a jar. If you don't have or can't spare one of these don't worry about it - it will look great regardless!
What You Need:
- A tall glass or some kind of glass container, maybe even a vase if you have one on hand
- Blue dish soap
- Rubbing alcohol (if you can spare some)
- Red green and purple food coloring.
Start with the bottom layer - honey and purple food coloring. Mix it up and pour it in.
Next add the blue dish soap, then water with green food coloring. After you pour the water in carefully add the olive oil and finally the rubbing alcohol mixed with red food coloring.
